Our Ceramics Workshop: Throw Your Own Bowl is the most popular thing we sell that does not come in a box. Here is how a session runs.
Choose a date and time on the product page and pay at checkout. Your booking is confirmed immediately and appears in your account, with a reminder by email the day before. Groups are capped at eight people.
The session lasts two hours. We start with a short demonstration, then each person has their own wheel. You will centre the clay, open it and pull the walls of a bowl, with help whenever you need it. Most people make two or three attempts and keep their favourite.
Clay washes out, but wear clothes you do not mind getting dusty. Short nails make throwing easier. Aprons, tools and all materials are included.
Your bowl needs to dry, be trimmed and fired twice. You choose a glaze colour at the end of the class, and the finished piece is ready to collect about three weeks later.
Need a different date? Contact us before the session and we will help you move it.
Prefer one-to-one help at home? Our Interior Styling Consultation is a 90-minute session at home or by video, with a written plan and shopping list within three days.
